.Get enough sleep; it’s so easy to get distracted and end up burning the midnight oil but ensuring 7 hours sleep per night will make a dramatic difference to your health and cognitive ability.

.Make time for meditation. Ten minutes first thing in the morning will settle you for the day. Useful free site to choose a meditation which suits you; wemeditate.co

.Eat healthy food that fuels your body. We need to be aware of how the food we eat is impacting our bodies. It is a complex issue but try to do the research and find out what your body needs.

.Move your body; a workout/ a dance/ a jog. Many of us are spending more and more of our lives seated at a desk, or lounging on the sofa. Our bodies were developed for movement and just half an hour per day getting your body in movement will have a significant impact on your health. There are all types of exercise routines freely available; find the one which makes you smile

.Listen to music that makes you happy. Music is a universal mood lifter; find time to allow yourself a listen and a dance.

.Take breaks from technology. Staring at a screen is physically and mentally draining. Take breaks during the day and allow at least one day per week as a screen-free digital detox.

.Make time for friends. We are sociable creatures and nothing is as important as our relationships. Make time to nurture them.

.Make time for creativity. We all can benefit from time spent creatively. Find the practice which makes you happy, or try a few, and you will not regret it.

.Take a walk in the fresh air. At least an hour each day in the fresh air will do wonders for both health and mood. Try leaving your devices at home and open your eyes and ears to the wonder around you, chat to someone you meet on your way.

.Read a book. Whatever genre you may be drawn to, take time to sit and read each day and you will reap the benefits.
